Allemansrätten - the right to wander

In Sweden allemansrätten or "every man's right" is a freedom granted by the Constitution of Sweden.

Allemansrätten gives everyone the right to access, walk, cycle, ski, swim in any lake and camp on any land except for private gardens or in the immediate vicinity of a residence. There are however restrictions for nature reserves and other protected areas.

Every person has the right to visit all beaches as long as it's not part of a garden or within the immediate vicinity of a home

Allemansrätten also gives everyone the right to pick wild flowers, berries and mushrooms (unless they are legally protected). Allemansrättens does not make it legal to hunt. That requires a permission.
