Swedish Books
Jan Guillou is a respected author and journalist that has been involved in a number of controverses through out his career. However Guillou's books are always on the top charts in Sweden and I love "The Crusades Trilogy" that is about Arn Magnusson, a fictional character that was forced to become a Knight Templar. Many historical events, both in Sweden and in the Middle East and also many characters from the novels are based on reality.
Jan Guillou also wrote the follow-up novel "The Heritage of Arn" about Birger Jarl, the founder of Stockholm. The book is based on Swedish history and legends.
